In a world witnessing rapid transformation, arts, heritage, folklore and the environment emerge as vital tools for promoting comprehensive development and improving the quality of life, especially for marginalized and poor groups such as youth and people with disabilities. These fields are no longer merely means of cultural expression or entertainment, but have become a fundamental pillar of economic and social empowerment, and a means of promoting human and societal values.

At the global level, we find that international organizations such as UNESCO and the United Nations Development Program constantly emphasize the importance of protecting heritage, developing the arts, and preserving the environment as essential elements for achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Studies indicate that communities that invest in their cultural heritage and local arts enjoy higher levels of social cohesion and economic stability.

In this context, the religious dimension comes to reinforce this trend, as the heavenly religions agree on the importance of preserving the environment as part of man's responsibility towards the Earth. In Islam, we find a clear emphasis on this responsibility in the Almighty’s saying: “And do not spread corruption in the earth after it has been set in order.” The Prophet’s hadith also urges the value of beauty and creativity in his saying, may God bless him and grant him peace: “Indeed, God is beautiful and loves beauty".

At the national level, Egypt is adopting this comprehensive approach through Egypt Vision 2030, which makes culture and the environment essential drivers of sustainable development. On the cultural side, the state works to employ heritage and arts as a means to enhance national identity and create economic opportunities, while the environmental strategy focuses on achieving environmental balance and supporting green projects.

The Misr El Kheir Foundation represents a practical model of this integrated vision, as it combines development dimensions and religious values in its programs. Through projects to preserve Egyptian folklore, therapeutic arts programs for people with disabilities, and environmentally friendly green buildings, the Foundation contributes to strengthening community belonging and providing real opportunities for the most needy groups.

In this context, the Foundation's role is highlighted in transforming these concepts into a tangible reality, where arts, heritage and the environment become not only tools for development, but means for achieving societal tranquility and spiritual advancement, in line with the teachings of our true religion and the requirements of our time.

Therefore, this report comes to shed light on the achievements and challenges of this vital sector in the Misr El Kheir Foundation, with a focus on how to employ these areas to serve marginalized groups, and the extent to which these efforts are compatible with global visions, religious directives, and the national development strategy, in an effort to build a more just and sustainable society.
